Life doesn't get much better than this. METRA North Central Train #106 races Milwaukee West Train #2216 between Western Ave and Union Station.

Crossing traffic has both trains stopped across the platform from eachother at Western Ave. The operator in TOWER A-2 gives both train the railroad within about 5 seconds of eachother and we are off to the races!

Includes video of the newly overbuilt north approach to Chicago Union Station.
