Equal parts confession and collapse, “Blood on My Teeth” is a song that bleeds. Built on grinding guitars, tense rhythms, and vocals that sound like they’re tearing their way out of the body, it captures the moment where grief becomes physical. When memory crawls beneath the skin and refuses to let go.

“That point where guilt and shame are so deep they start to feel like they’re part of your body. In your mouth, under your nails, ‘crawling’ through you. It’s violent, but it’s also a kind of release,” says Jackson from Body Tax.

Across its runtime, “Blood on My Teeth” shifts from claustrophobic whispers to total collapse. a descent into the mess of being human. Lyrically, it blurs the line between body and emotion,
A debut single unafraid to confront the ugly, tender, and brutal parts of being alive. It’s music that doesn’t seek redemption - only truth.

From the scorched backstreets of Melbourne to the haunted stillness of regional Australia, Body Tax emerges as the new incarnation of Jackson Greatz, best known as electronic producer GREETINGS, now turning his gaze inward with a guitar in hand and a heavy heart on his sleeve. Drawing on the sonic grit of rust rock, post-punk, and Australiana storytelling, this new project blends slow-burning heartbreak with bleak humour, dreamy melodies, and the raw poetry of emotional reckoning.

These are songs written in the aftermath of parties that ended badly, relationships that disintegrated in the morning light, and memories that still rattle in the walls. Inspired by the likes of Rowland S. Howard, RVG, Fontaines D.C., and the ghosts of broken-down share houses, Body Tax finds beauty in the mess, comfort in sadness, and hope in the honest telling of it all.
Performing with his band of Erica Illy, Lachlan Mcrae, Jess Haustien - the soundtrack for leaving the city, facing your own reflection, and dancing slowly in the ruins is playing out live in your town soon.
