Backyard Waterfall Masterpiece You Have to See to Believe in Stillwater

This week we reveal a backyard transformation that began with inspiration at the Minneapolis Home and Garden Show ✨ After hearing Nick speak on the main stage these homeowners knew water was meant to be a core part of their property. They wanted the peaceful sound of moving water in both the front yard and the backyard. The plan from the beginning was a stacked slate sphere for the front and a breathtaking Pondless waterfall for the rear. The sphere was installed first in early spring then this summer we returned to bring the backyard vision to life.

🌊 A Waterfall Built for Peace Beauty and Presence

This custom Pondless waterfall stretches more than 30 feet with streams averaging 3 feet wide and widening up to 5 feet in key areas. We sculpted a full 30 inch elevation change using truckloads of pulverized black dirt then blended everything into the natural grade so it looks like the waterfall has always belonged here. The result feels like a mountain stream hidden within a peaceful quiet Stillwater property a true hidden gem that invites you to linger and listen.

🔊 Dual 5k to 9k Adjustable Pumps

These pumps create a deep rich sound that fills the space with calming energy. We designed deeper stream sections so you can sit on a boulder place your feet in the water and instantly feel connected to nature. This feature was built for interactivity healing and everyday enjoyment. When running water is present your mind slows down and the stress of life begins to fade.

🔥 Fire Pit Destination Area

We added a fire pit seating space using angular river rock with three massive boulders positioned as natural seating stones. The pit spans roughly 15 feet so furniture can be arranged however the moment calls for it. Evenings around the fire while listening to waterfalls will be memories this family holds onto forever.

🌳 Trees for Privacy and Atmosphere

Adam The Garden Gnome led the installation of five large trees. Three offer privacy from neighboring views while two help frame and soften the waterfall creating a more intimate and secluded experience. These trees will only get more beautiful with time enhancing the feature every season.

🪨 60 Thousand Pounds of Stone Artistry

We brought in roughly sixty thousand pounds of boulders and gravel to craft this masterpiece. Every rock was hand placed to create depth movement and flow. Now the homeowners enjoy extraordinary sights and sounds from their newly updated deck from their windows and while sitting right beside the water. This is outdoor living at its finest.
