How to go Special Forces: Earning the Green Beret | Tactical Rifleman

Disclaimer: I went Special Forces right after Desert Storm (Yes, I'm old); so the actual schooling pipeline and requirements have changed. However, you still need to be Strong.

Earning the Green Beret does not stop with passing the SF Q-Course; you still have to earn the respect of your peers. Your schooling also does not stop with passing the SF Q-Course. As a matter of fact, your schooling never ends in SF. You will constantly be sent to additional schooling. This makes you a better Warfighter and better Instructor, teaching other nations to fight for themselves so we don't have to fight for them. SF Sniper, Ranger, HALO/MFF, Jump Master, NBC/CRBN, SOT, SFAUC, ASOT... the list goes on and on. You are encouraged to always seek more training. This is a trait that you can build a productive life around. Knowledge is power. Always try to learn something new every day. Always try to improve your skills by training with Subject Matter Experts. If you are the SME; then find like-minded SMEs in your same skillset and train with them. Iron sharpens Iron. Train hard. Better to sweat in training than to bleed in combat.
