Service Kali is a revered Kali temple in the town of Sonamukhi, West Bengal, famous for the popular belief that the goddess grants her devotees' wishes for employment, particularly government jobs.
The Story Behind the Name
The unique name "Service Kali" originated from events in the 1940s:
There is an incident where local individuals who were unable to obtain the necessary permits to start a bus service. After making a vow to the goddess (offering just sixteen annas, an old form of currency), they reportedly received their permits smoothly, further cementing the belief in her power to help with career and business matters.
Today, the temple, located about 45-50 km from Bankura town, attracts thousands of devotees not just from West Bengal but also from other states.

সার্ভিস কালী হল পশ্চিমবঙ্গের সোনামুখী, বাঁকুড়া শহরের একটি শ্রদ্ধেয় কালী মন্দির। এটি জনপ্রিয় বিশ্বাসের জন্য বিখ্যাত যে দেবী তার ভক্তদের চাকরি, বিশেষ করে সরকারি চাকরির ইচ্ছা পূরণ করেন।

এই নামটি "সার্ভিস কালী" ১৯৪০'র দশকের ঘটনা থেকে উদ্ভূত:
একটি ঘটনা রয়েছে যেখানে স্থানীয় ব্যক্তিরা বাস পরিষেবা চালু করার জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় পারমিট পেতে পারেনি। দেবীর কাছে একটি মানত করার পর (শুধু ষোল আনা, মুদ্রার একটি পুরানো রূপ) তারা তাদের পারমিট পেয়েছিলেন বলে জানা গেছে, ক্যারিয়ার এবং ব্যবসায়িক বিষয়ে সাহায্য করার জন্য তার ক্ষমতার বিশ্বাসকে আরও দৃঢ় করে।
আজ, বাঁকুড়া শহর থেকে প্রায়৪০-৫০ কিলোমিটার দূরে অবস্থিত মন্দিরটি শুধু পশ্চিমবঙ্গ থেকে নয়, অন্যান্য রাজ্য থেকেও হাজার হাজার ভক্তদের আকর্ষণ করে৷
