How to make a fingerprint necklace (Part 8 of 10 - Turning silver clay into silver)

In this series of videos, I will slowly take you through all the steps you will need to make a real silver fingerprint necklace using a magical clay-like material called silver clay.

You don’t need to make make a fingerprint necklace. You can use the videos to make a fingerprint charm or a bigger pendant or keyring with 2, 3, or more fingerprints.

I will cover all of the tools and materials you will need to use, including advice on the best type of silver clay to use at your own kitchen table.

So, how do you turn silver clay into pure fine silver?

In this eighth video, I will show you exactly how to fire your clay fingerprint necklace using a small handheld kitchen torch so that it magically changes from silver clay into pure, fine silver.
The torch is used to burn away all of the organic binder within the silver clay so that just the silver remains.
I will cover tools and equipment needed, health and safety and plenty of tips and tricks to help you perfectly fire your fingerprint necklace without damaging it.
