Just a relaxing evening walk in May through our tropical style garden in the Netherlands.
We had a few sunny, warm days and finally all the exotics are starting to grow. Tetrapanax, Brassaiopsis and Manihot are all losing a large part of the stems but they have survived last very wet winter/ spring period.
Because of this there were complete slug and snail armies eating my hostas and other large foliage plants like ligularia and Rodgersia. I've replaced much of them by ferns, because ferns are really thriving in these conditions and they give the same vibe to the garden.
