My favorite tracks of each cup in Super Mario Kart

Oh we are so back!

Why you're seeing this right, I'm gonna upload actual content again! I've been planning to do this video series for a while now and thought that now is probably the best time to do it. Had been veeery busy for the past year with graduating and getting into college but now that that's all resolved, I can finally upload this video series I've been wanting to do!

Now where were we? Oh yeah! Super Mario Kart...

Just like the the first Mario Party, Super Mario Kart is a great first game to start off what will become one of the best kart racing video game series ever. Unfortunately, just like the first Mario Party, this game did not age well like the rest and is also my least favorite of the series.

This game is down right unfair, having CPUs being able to use item the players can't (Yoshi with Yoshi Egg and Peach with Poison Mushroom), CPUs spamming items when they shouldn't (Mario and Luigi constantly using the star), CPU rubberbanding and constantly on your tail, CPUs outright jumping over placed items, the way you spin out when you hit an item (seriously, I actually get dizzy when I see Koopa spin out as the track also spin), and of course, the tracks...

This game easily has the worst selection of courses. Despite there being twenty of them, there's only eight unique settings. The tracks are flat, making them a bit boring but that's not the main reason as to why they're bad for me, it's mostly the layout. You race on Bowser's Castle 2 and tell me if you had fun racing on it. So the tracks featured here are mostly just tracks I prefer more than others (though I will say, at least these tracks are good).

Mushroom Cup: Most tracks are flat but Mario Circuit 2 at least has a pretty interesting big jump that makes the track somewhat interesting. I kinda like the layout as well along with the pipes and oil slicks that gives a bit of challenge.

Flower Cup: Choco Island 1 has those little jumps that makes it a little interesting. The track also has mud and several Piranha Plants that I guess gives the track more stuff to it t.

Star Cup: Bowser Castle 3 is easily the best track in the entire game. Although the paths can get quite narrow and the Thwomps makes it worse, I still like the layout of it. The jumps where you get item boxes and dodge Thwomps is pretty fun. And the last part with the three lanes is also kind of cool. The track is challenging but not to the point where it feels unplayable and is actually quite enjoyable.

Special Cup: I kinda like Ghost Valley 3. I think it's an alright track (at least, compared to the other Special Cup tracks). Yeah there's long straight lines, pits, jumps that leads you to death and almost no walls. But I honestly think it's tame compared to the other Special Cup tracks (Donut Plains 3 is painful for a first track with it's awful layout, Koopa Beach 2 is just going left, Vanilla Lake 2 is also just going left and those ice blocks in both Vanilla Lakes can just melt, and Rainbow Road is also pretty painful but then again it is the last track so I guess it makes sense). I actually kinda like the boost jump at the end where you can jump over the pit. Kind of makes the the end part exciting where you hope you don't fall after the jump.

And I'm also gonna put not only the podium scenes but also the credits of each game. And if you're wondering, only the eight main games will be uploaded. No arcade games and no Tour. For Tour, I haven't heard anything about the game since they announced that there were will be no longer any new tours made so I have no idea how the cup system works now (I'm too lazy to download and play the game again). And for the arcade games, I would love to record footage of them if I could at least play them. And even if I did have easy access to them, I also need to figure out on how to record footage of them.

But that's really it m'kay? Really looking forward to be doing this series with Mario Kart for awhile now. I might do it with other video game series as well, who knows?
