1 Samuel 22 – Safe With Him

David, once celebrated as a hero, now hides in caves, hunted by Saul. But in 1 Samuel 22, we see God do something incredible—He gathers the broken, the hurting, and the desperate around David, turning them into mighty men. And we see a powerful picture of Jesus, our ultimate refuge, who invites us to stay with Him where true safety is found.

In this study, we’ll look at:
-God Uses the Down and Out (vv. 1–2) – The distant, distressed, debt-ridden, and discontented find hope with God’s anointed.
-The Enemy Will Lie to You (vv. 3–8) – Saul paints himself as the provider, but like Satan, he offers empty promises.
-The Enemy Will Push You Further Than You Want to Go (vv. 9–19) – Sin always takes you further than you intended.
-The Savior Will Keep You Safe (vv. 20–23) – Abiathar ran to David for safety; we run to Christ for eternal security.

📖 Key Verse: “Stay with me; do not fear. For he who seeks my life seeks your life, but with me you shall be safe.” (1 Samuel 22:23)

No matter how far you’ve gone, no matter how broken you feel, Jesus says the same thing to you today: “Stay with Me… with Me you will be safe.”
