Discussion Questions
1. Elijah stood before a nation that had turned away from God. What does it look like to speak truth in love today: in your family, friendships, or workplace?
2. Elijah’s boldness came from the Holy Spirit, not pride. How can we tell the difference between confidence that’s Spirit-led and confidence that’s self-driven?
3. In 1 Kings 19, Elijah became discouraged right after his greatest victory. Why do you think spiritual highs are often followed by deep lows? How can we support one another in those “cave” seasons?
4. God spoke to Elijah not in the wind, earthquake, or fire, but in a gentle whisper. How do you personally recognize the Holy Spirit’s voice amidst the noise of life?
5. What might the gift of prophecy look like in the church today? How can we practice discernment to ensure words we speak (or hear) truly reflect God’s heart?
