Artist's Note: I hope you all have been enjoying Turn to Ash so far! I can't believe it's been out for a month already. I'll be releasing the lyric videos for the last two songs over the course of the rest of the year, so stay tuned. When I think of Ash's Lycanroc, I think of the the arc he went through to overcome that uncontrollable rage that he went into whenever his fur got dirty. That's what was originally meant to be implied by 'over the edge'. But I also realized that Lycanroc, much like Ash, would face his challenges head on without being afraid, and sometimes would get hurt for it. For example, when he was a Rockruff, and would challenge that Magmar over and over again, getting pretty badly hurt in the process. So I ended up going more in the direction of 'charge forward, climb higher, but don't go too far, of you'll fall' sort of thing. That sort of attitude is also reflected in the style of the music itself. It's fast-paced and relentless, almost frantic but still remaining in control. I hope y'all enjoy this one!
