IN THIS VIDEO: Hello everyone! Welcome to AERO Gatineau-Ottawa 2019 where we continue with the RCAF and a Heritage Flight!
For the first time this year, I was seeing the RCAF CF-18 Hornet Demo Team. The Hornet this year is flown by Brian 'HUMZA' Kilroy and the 2019 Season Theme is celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
HUMZA was cleared to the show and started off the Demo with the dirty roll on takeoff. The rest of the show followed the regular CF-18 Demo routine before Chris Hadfield himself took off in the Arnold Roseland Spitfire MK IX and joined the Hornet for three passes before splitting off and recovering. The Hornet did one more final pass afterwards before landing. Enjoy the video!
