This tutorial will show you how to create the effect of many random and overlapping ripples that will animate on a surface as if rain were falling on a puddle or pool of water. This tutorial will use Adobe After Effects and 3D Studio Max. Concepts covered will be the creation and use of animated textures, particle flow and the displacement and point cache modifiers.
