A multinational company specializing in packaging ingredients and flavorings has created a new facility with two complete lines for filling, capping, and labeling spices, herbs, and flavorings intended for the restaurant sector.
For the new facility, the British company required the handling of containers made of different materials in a single line that would fulfill the following functions:
✔️ Depalletizing square cans and round glass jars.
✔️ Unscrambling plastic containers.
✔️ Cleaning the interior of all container formats before filling.
For this project, Traktech has designed and manufactured a compact line consisting of three interconnected machines: a depalletizer, an unscrambler, and a rinser. These machines enable the handling of containers made of three different materials, each requiring customized treatments, with a constant production rate of 170 containers per minute.

The depalletizer consists of three stations: pre-loading of full pallets, an elevator, and a storage area for empty pallets and cardboard separators.
The containers are pushed from the elevator onto an inliner conveyor, which aligns them for transportation to the Rinser SG using a side grip descender, lowering them from a height of 2300 mm to the working height of 1000 mm.

The bottles enter the unscrambler machine through a bulk elevator/conveyor with a capacity of 1500 liters. In the upper disc, the bottles are pre-positioned tangentially within crates.
A vision camera analyzes the position of each container in each crate and sends a signal to the funnel, where a pneumatic cylinder rotates the container, ensuring it is placed in the correct upright position.
Format change is achieved by pressing a button on the machine's touchscreen. All moving parts of the pre-orienter and funnels adjust according to each pre-set format stored in the PLC memory.
This system can accommodate up to 20 different formats. The format change takes between 1 and 2 minutes, corresponding to the time it takes to change the program on the touchscreen and load it into the machine.
SG-20 Rinser with ionized air for cleaning all containers.
This equipment is responsible for the internal cleaning of containers, removing any foreign bodies, residues, dust, etc., before reaching the filling machine.
Using a 180° tilting system, the containers pass through a blowing zone with filtered and ionized compressed air, along with suction to a G4-F8 - EN779 filter for capturing the smallest particles. There is also a large particle collector drawer for subsequent quality analysis.
This complete packaging line has been designed, manufactured, and assembled by Traktech SL, specialists in the handling of empty containers, conveyors, and dry lubrication systems, with over 25 years of experience in the packaging industry.
