Food Is NOT Cheap in Montenegro | Our Grocery Haul in Budva

In this video, we take you on a food haul from the HDL hypermarket in the coastal city of Budva, Montenegro. While many items are affordable, especially local ones, we were surprised how expensive food can be in Montenegro with certain grocery items rivaling those in the US.

We later learned that many stores jack up prices in summers especially around touristy spots. We show a wide variety of foods sold at HDL supermarket along with prices. All prices are in euros. At the end we also try a traditional brined cheese called Pljevaljski cheese (Pljevaljski Sir)
