Christmas Day in La Zenia, Costa Blanca — one of the very few places in Europe where you can spend Christmas on the beach.

Filmed in 2019 at first light, this video starts at the iconic La Zenia roundabout on Avenida de Las Brisas, the original avenue leading toward Villamartín and the Orihuela Costa coastline.

As the day unfolds, the camera moves to La Mirada restaurant, overlooking La Zenia Beach as it fills with thousands of international visitors celebrating Christmas in the sun. On this day, temperatures reached 25°C, barbecues were everywhere, and the official count from the Ayuntamiento was just under 6,000 people on the beach.
