Plot: Steve Trevor didn't die, instead he was captured by Doctor Poison, and was experimented on, subsequently turned into a super soldier in hands of bad guys, used like a puppet, not even knowing himself. Decades pass on, with Trevor becoming a ghost story, Winter Soldier.
Diana doesn't know he is still alive, unill one day she sees him. He recognises her, and the memory helps Steve regain his own consciousness and break free from the evil organisation that held him. He seeks help from Diana. The organisation tries to take himback, but they are stopped by Diana. A sappy happy ending ensues.
This AU is called #wintertrev.
