Scriabin’s Op. 11 is a beautiful and dramatic piano work, with miniatures ranging from moods of despair to lighthearted reveries. One of his more sentimental preludes is his Prelude No. 15 in D-flat major. It is a surprisingly difficult piano piece - the accompanying diads need to maintain a pianissimo dynamic level in the exposed texture, while the cantabile melody shimmers on top of the dreamy harmonies. It was a beautiful piece to learn, and I hope you enjoy!
