A thunderstorm outbreak impacted Brisbane and the Gold Coast on Christmas Day 2025. A southeasterly change impacted Brisbane which caused dangerous storms. The storm I chased produced a shelf cloud and had amazing structure and even dropped a tornadic waterspout off of north Stradbroke island. The Gold Coast was impacted with a severe microburst which lead to a crane being damaged and a caravan park being evacuated. Luckily no one has been injured as of now.
