‘Kajari ‘ is a semi-classical musical form ‘Thumri’ depicting moods of Nayika during the rainy season.This fourfold composition is a fine linking of apt Dohas with the contents of the Kajari. First Doha juxtaposes the Nayika with the rainy season itself! Dark clouds and her dark thick hair, rainbow and her pair of eyebrows, constant raining as against her nonstop tears in the sorrow of separation from her beloved .... and so on...Dark and dense clouds deeper lonely feeling of the Nayika in the absence of her beloved.
Next Doha begins on a positive note! But the Nayika realizes that she still alone. She asks her Sakhi to withheld all those signs of the rainy season like the thunder of clouds, singing of Koyal and Chatak, croaking of frogs, lightning etc. Suddenly she notices the pleasing raindrops, dancing Peacock and ....and the sky full of black clouds, bringing back her to square one - Gheri aai badari.
