Via Claudia Augusta | Ep7 | Salorno to Lake Garda via Bolzano | Frankfurt to Venice Cycle Tour 2024

Nancy, Frank and Daphne's Via Claudia Augusta ride continues as we face wet weather after leaving our campground in a little place called Breitbach, south of Bolzano. We ride on down the Val d'Adige through the rain all the way to Trento where we eventually get a hotel for the night (after one or two challenges!).

Now in the region of Trentino, we continue south through the Vallagarina, as this part of the Val d'Adige is known, in much nicer weather. South of Rovereto we leave the VCA and make our way west across a small pass to get to Lago di Garda, our destination for two nights. We spend a delightful rest day around the north end of Lake Garda based out of Torbole, exploring Limone sul Garda plus a short but beautiful ciclopista along the shore of the lake.

Alas this is where Nancy's time with us ends and she has to get her shuttle back to Munich to return to Canada. Farewell Nancy - safe journey home and it's been a pleasure sharing this part of the journey with you! We know you'll be back for more European cycle tours!
