Rambling ASMR ~ GRWM while I tell you about my ASMR journey 🌷🌷

As I’m sure many viewers of ASMR can agree, ASMR has been an amazing resource. I feel like I didn’t quite talk enough on how important ASMR is to me personally in the video, so I thought I would add a little spiel in the description.

I have always struggled to regulate my emotions and my anxiety. There have been times where my executive function goes out the window, my sleep suffers, and I am on constant high alert. Ever since coming across ASMR, I feel like I have finally been able to take back control. From anxious cycles and heartbreak to fresh starts and periods of growth and reflection, ASMR has helped me through many stages of life.

ASMR is about connection. I can’t think of any other content industry off the top of my head where the creators genuinely feel connected to their viewers, rather than treating them like fans. I don’t see ASMRtists as god-like figures that could never know my name or care about my story. When I listen to ASMR, it feels like I’m catching up with a friend. And that’s why ASMR is so powerful. In those moments of weakness, tuning in to your favourite ASMRtist means you’re never truly alone.

Beyond that, ASMR is an industry where creativity thrives. Curated backdrops, bold and colourful makeup, role plays of any situation imaginable. You can delve into new worlds and step into a million different shoes.

I understand that not everyone enjoys ASMR. Some people find it irritating and overstimulating. But for those who do, it can be a lifeline.

I feel as though the videos I put out now are only a shadow of what I hope to create in the future. With time, I hope to build on my skills and create content that is truly magical.
