Behind the Scenes of a Continuous RGB Lighting Beauty Shoot with Lindsay Adler

Continuous light has so many benefits, especially when working with a lot of color!

First, you can see in real time exactly how colors and light affect your subject (WYSIWYG). Next, by using full RGB lights you can dial in the exact hue you want, rather than trying to approximate with color gels.

For this beauty shoot, I used the Nanlite Color Portrait Kit by Lindsay Adler for a vibrant and dramatic beauty shoot. All 5 lights used in this setup are included in this kit. For the main light, I used a Fresnel (focusable hard light) and for the rim/fill lights I used 2ft Pavotubes (Nanlite 15C).

Also, for a dash more creativity, I added a star filter paired with sequins and hard main light (fresnel) to create beautiful starburst effect in the image!
