Alcorn's McNair is an NFL pioneer & moved the industry forward becoming the first "Black Franchise QB." Air McNair went on to become the Highest drafted African American QB at the time, selected 3rd overall in the 1995 NFL Draft TITANS and leading them to the Super Bowl. Steve McNair's success on the gridiron opened the doors for all NFL teams to feel comfortable drafting Black QB's in the Top 5 picks. Though the highlights are filled with scrambles, McNair proved to be a dangerous pocket passer becoming the 1st Black QB to ever win NFL MVP & leading the league in Passer Rating 100.4.
