"Love for God is what truly matters."

Avatar Meher Baba once shared that the most important thing in life is to love God.
He explained that it's normal for people to feel excited when they start something new, but when things don’t go as expected and there aren’t clear results, their excitement fades and they feel discouraged. Baba said this happens because we love ourselves more than we love God. When we focus too much on ourselves, feelings of failure and sadness feel much bigger.

But Baba reminded us not to let this sadness make us feel even worse. Think about it—before the sadness appeared, it wasn’t there, and just as it came, it will go away. If you try too hard to get rid of it, it will only stick around longer.

Instead, Baba said to be calm and not pay too much attention to those feelings. The real solution is to love God fully. In the end, only love for God really matters.
