My other programmable watch is the Bangle.JS V2. It arrived a day after T-Watch 2020 V3 and unlike this watch Bagle.JS worked immediately out of the box. So in this video I share with you my experiences of using a JavaScript watch.
Immediately I was able to do all the simple things like set time and download apps from the internet.
Unlike W-Watch, Bangle.JS uses JavaScript over Bluetooth to a Web App on the Chrome browser on my Windows PC. You can either program immediately in JavaScript on the Espruino IDE or alternatively visit the App store and explore what others are done and download their app to the watch. There is enough apps to get you going.
The best thing I liked is that the watch has a similar architecture to the microbit computer as it uses a similar SoC - nRF528X from Nordic. Its strengths are it has excellent Bluetooth support and uses very little power - just what a watch needs. So I can demo the same code in both systems using JavaScript.
