WARNING a whale is harvested and cut up. It’s blubber, skin, meat and bones are used and valuable to the Inuit people who love traditional foods. The “Muktuk” is very nutritious and believe it or not is a good source of vitamin C. Huh? I grew up hunting, so seeing the correlation of animal death to food doesn’t bother me much. I actively seek out the opportunity to watch and learn from other area’s and cultures. I understand that some people who have not had experience with hunting/harvesting may find this kind of thing hard to watch and not want to see it. Certainly these are not daily events happening but a more rare event that I was honoured to have experienced. For those who would not feel the same these would be easily avoidable as well. Go North Join Spencer (that’s me) as I Vlog my working experience for the North West Company with Northern stores all across Canada‘s great north. I release a video every Sunday night and sometimes more so like and subscribe. I’d love to hear your comments below and any Nor-wester’s out there? Can I get a thumbs up? And a share? Thanks and Go North! Working in Canada’s north. #InuitHuntingTraditions #BaffinIsland #Narwhal #GoNorth
