This is the beautiful +100 years old Lighthouse of Albion (Phare d’Albion) located on the west coast of the island MAURITIUS (Ile Maurice). The lighthouse rises 30 meters off the cliffs of Pointe Aux Caves next to the small village of Albion. Construction started in 1909 and was completed in 1910. The lighthouse of Albion is the only one still in operation nowadays on the island and it can guide ships up to 29 nautical miles off the coasts of MAURITIUS. To date, it is still one of the most visited spots in MAURITIUS.
