In this second video in my series on 8mR yachts I discuss the history of 8mR yachts in Finland with Lauri Kaira, one of the leading yacht historians in Finland. Did you know that the history of Finnish 8mR yachting goes back to before our independence in 1917?
Also the upcoming 8mR World Cup will be tied to Finnish 8mR history as the race location will be Ruissalon Telakka, the former boat yard Åbo Båtvarf, that was world famous for building superb wooden yachts!
