When a wanted man went on a rampage in Humberside, barricading himself in his flat, setting curtains and furniture on fire, and threatening officers with a shovel; PD Yoiko and PC Marsden were on hand to help.
It was smokey and pitch-black in the flat, there was shattered glass all over the floor, but Yoiko was ready to work.
And the duo bravely went into the flat to safely detain the individual before anyone could be seriously injured…
They showed Outstanding Bravery in a hostile situation, and are worthy winners of this award.
