Imagine a world where a routine surgery could endanger your life- a world where your greatest enemy is a microbe. Bacteria around and inside us are evolving faster than our medical advancements can keep up with, creating superbugs. Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) may be invisible, but it’s not inevitable. A silent pandemic is approaching. Have we truly come full circle, where the antibiotics that saved us now threaten to take us back to when a simple infection was a death sentence?
