Sentence Builder is made to process Japanese automatically in your head.

Sentence Builder Level 4 is based on JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) N2 level (Pre-Advanced). Each sentence features one kanji from the N2 kanji list.

You process your native language automatically. You can tell the correct word order to make a sentence without even thinking. Why not Japanese? It's simply because you haven't had enough practice.

In JLPT, you'll be tested to put the words in the right order to make a sentence.

For example,
1. よう 2. 日本語 3. に 4.しています 5.使う 6. を

And you put it in the right order. The answer is 265134 (日本語を使うようにしています).

If you process Japanese automatically, you can tell the right order right away, and this is not just for the test. You need this automatic processing in real-life conversations.

Sentence Builder will give you the practice you need to make it happen. It's actually harder than JLPT for many reasons. If you practice with something hard, you'll feel the actual test is much easier.

How to use Sentence Builder

1. Play this video.
2. Put the words in the right order in 10 seconds without pausing the video.
3. Compare your answer to the correct sentence.
4. Check to see if you understand the sentence.
5. Complete all the sentences in the video
6. Record how many sentences you got correct with today's date (e.g. 5/9 Feb 10th)
7. Try it again after a few days to see if you can do better.

If you play one Sentence Builder a day, your Japanese processing skills will improve significantly to get closer to being fluent in Japanese.

The English translations are tiny intentionally. This is for you to process Japanese in Japanese without translating in your head. If you want to be able to use Japanese, there's no need to translate or understand in English. You want to be able to use Japanese, don't you?
