This is a test, primarily of framerate stability / playability in and out of combat. This modded build is quite demanding even for a 3080 in some areas. No CTDs so far, though some frame dips I consider unacceptable remain.
The aims of this build are:
To serve beautiful UI minimalism.
Cinematic atmosphere and environments.
Moderate survival elements (immersive not obstructive).
Satisfy my lust for Tarkov style combat.
Keeping a coherent, mostly lore-friendly Fallout 4.
High lethality (short time-to-kill) for both NPCs and the player.
An emphasis on natural darkness in both exterior nights and all interiors presents the need for the player ot make use of flashlights, and later on, night vision goggles:
Very dark nights combined with potentially extreme weather, or even radstorms which bring packs of feral ghouls, make venturing out at night a risky proposition.
The pipboy light is disabled; flashlights attached to weapons, helmets, or shoulder-mounted lamps, or NVGs are required to see in the dark.
I am looking for a mod to make NVGs and flashlights require and drain fusion cores to function, so that light itself becomes a precious resource.
A further aim is the brutal exclusion of anything I consider tacky, obnoxious or gimmicky, either from mods or the vanilla content. As one of many examples the cash register noise and XP meter that appears almost any time you do anything in the game, are removed completely.
