WaveCross is a brand-new race format that was introduced during the 2021/22 Nutri-Grain IronMan / IronWoman Series. All WaveCross races are 6-8 minutes, designed to create extremely fast pace and tight finishing racing. Dependent on conditions, WaveCross racing could involve racing around single turning cans rather than the normal two. An initial seeding race determined the Quarter Finals, the top two of each then entered the Semi Finals.
