The Sound of the Sun is made with code (Processing) based on the recordings of the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory spacecraft (SOHO) by ESA and NASA, launched in 1995.
The astrological symbol for the sun is ☉. It represents the divine spirit (circle) surrounding the seed of potential (black dot). :)

Sound does not travel through space (vacuum)! However with the right instrument, scientists observe pulsations from the Sun. The entire Sun vibrates from a complex pattern of acoustical waves, much like a bell. Astronomers at Stanford University recorded acoustical pressure waves in the Sun by carefully tracking movements on the Sun's surface. The astronomers measure the changing light waves given off by the sun using the Michelson Doppler Imager (MDI). The measured light changes are translated into motion (sound) waves by computer models that capture the relationships between light waves and sound waves. The MDI instrument is mounted on the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) spacecraft that is circling the Sun 1.6 million km (or 1 million miles or 0.01 AU) from Earth.
