Reggie Watts rocks out

This was the first time I ever tried using my DSLR to shoot video. It's SUPER shaky, as you have probably already discovered. I was holding up a heavy camera with a long lens while also focusing manually with a terribly shallow depth of field and a tiny view screen. I deeply apologize for the quality, but Reggie is so stellar that he makes my terrible video worth watching.

Reggie Watts is an amazing comedy performer. His voice is insanely versatile. He can sing, loop, beat, groan, growl, yawn, yell, mumble, and then drop three octaves. He can create a jungle with his voice, become odd characters, launch rockets, turn words into shapes. You can never be sure what's going to happen next.

This song was an extra bonus after he'd appeared on a local (Portland, Oregon) radio show called Live Wire! (It's a great show - full of brilliant, intelligent humor, stellar guests - coming from all walks of life and bringing various talents to the table - and fantastic musical performers of all kinds.) Live Wire's great band, Ralph Huntley and the Mutton Chops, do a beautiful job - they're always awesome.
