We took the week off to go on a little camping road trip around Alberta. Over 2200km. We wanted to see and explore some places that we have never been. So we left Fort McMurray and drove to Lawrence Lake Provincial Rec. Area (436Km). There we spent the night. Then off to Slave Lake and Grand Prairie until we met up with HWY 40(399KM). Then we drove down HWY 40 to Willmore Wilderness area and then to Pierre Greys Lakes Provincial Park.(228Km). The next Morning we got up and drove to the Icefield Parkways HWY. We drove that as far down as Bow Lake(424KM).
Then We drove Back to Nordegg and Then to Rocky Mountain House(219Km). Somewhere after Rocky Mountain House I decided to shut the camera off and spend the remaining night and next day with the family. But eventually we made it back to Fort McMurray(668KM Approx.)
So we had an amazing trip. We really enjoyed HWY 40 and will certainly be heading there in the future to see more of the sites there and spend more time in that area.
So grab your gear and your coffee's and come join us on this epic RD Trip.
