While a typical stroke patient is above 65 years old with other health conditions, a stroke can happen to anyone, anywhere. In this month's WSBT Eye on Health, Andrew Nemeth, Penn High School choir director, shares how he suffered a stroke at age 36 last year between classes. "I just didn't think it could happen to somebody that young, to be honest," Andrew said. It's the speed of which someone can recognize the symptoms or recognize they need help and get to the hospital that plays a big part in their outcome, said Dr. Jose Luis Lopez, medical director of the Beacon Stroke Program. Learn what happened to Andrew and about the symptoms of stroke so you can be prepared for an emergency.
