🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Christmas Alone On Scotlands Most Iconic Mountain - Solo Wild Camping

This Christmas Eve I spent the night completely alone, wild camping on a mountain in the Scottish Highlands, sheltered in my Hilleberg Soulo.

Buachaille Etive Mòr and Stob Dearg — probably Scotland’s most iconic mountains — are peaks I’ve driven past for over 30 years. This Christmas, I needed to be with them.

No crowds. No celebrations. Just wind, cold, silence, and my own thoughts.

I’m not here to escape Christmas — just to experience it differently.

Wild camping solo in winter strips everything back. It’s challenging and uncomfortable at times, but also deeply grounding. The Scottish Highlands have a way of reminding you what really matters when there’s nowhere to hide and no one else around.

This video documents a quiet Christmas Eve wild camping alone in Scotland — a solo winter camp on one of the most recognisable mountains in Glencoe.

This wasn’t about pushing limits — just being present, sitting with solitude, and letting this magnificent landscape do what it does best.
