2025 F1 SAUDI ARABIAN GP race by Peter Windsor

Max Verstappen's hard-won pole position evaporated in the first corner of the Saudi Arabian GP when he incurred a five-second penalty for gaining an off-track advantage. McLaren-Mercedes' Oscar Piastri duly forged to the front during the pit stops and thereafter controlled the race with maturity and aplomb. Verstappen finished P2 For Red Bull-Honda, ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris in the other McLaren-Mercedes, the two factory Mercedes of George Russell and Kimi Antonelli and Lewis Hamilton in the other Ferrari. The two Williams-Mercedes of Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon and Isack Hadjar's Racing Bulls-Honda rounded out the top ten. In this video, Peter Windsor looks back at a spectacular night on the Corniche.
