We start the day in Osaka おおさか, exploring Osaka Castle before diving into the energy of Kuromon Market 🍣🔥
Here we try Japanese street food favourites including wagyu beef and fugu.
From the city, we slow things right down.
Trains and a cable car take us into the mountains to Koyasan こうやさん, one of Japan’s most spiritual places.
We explore Okunoin Cemetery at sunset, then return again in the morning to experience it in a completely different light 🌲🕯️
After the calm of the forest, we head back to the busy streets of Osaka.
Dinner is okonomiyaki and Kura Sushi, followed by a walk through the city at night 🌃
A journey from crowds to quiet, and straight back again.
