سورة الدخان تبدأ بالحروف المقطعة "حم"، ثم تقسم بالكتاب المبين الذي أُنزل في ليلة مباركة (ليلة القدر). تُظهر السورة أن الله يُنذر الناس بالقرآن، وتُبيّن أن في تلك الليلة يُفصل كل أمر حكيم. ثم تذكر السورة مشهد الدخان الذي يغشى الناس كعذاب، وتُشير إلى تكذيبهم للرسول ووصفهم له بالجنون. وتعرض قصة موسى وفرعون، وتُبيّن كيف نجا الله بني إسرائيل وأهلك الطغاة. ثم تُختم السورة بوصف الجنة للمؤمنين، وجهنم للمكذبين. دعوة للتأمل في الوحي، والاعتبار من التاريخ، والاستعداد للآخرة.
Surah Ad-Dukhan opens with the disjointed letters “Ha Meem” and swears by the clear Book revealed on a blessed night (Laylat al-Qadr). It emphasizes that Allah warns through the Qur’an and that all wise matters are decreed on that night. The Surah describes a smoke that will envelop people as punishment and recounts how disbelievers mocked the Prophet. It then narrates the story of Moses and Pharaoh, showing how Allah saved the Israelites and destroyed the tyrants. The Surah ends with vivid contrasts between the bliss of Paradise for believers and the torment of Hell for deniers. A call to heed revelation, reflect on history, and prepare for the Hereafter.
