Here is some practice for /k/ in the middle of words, or /k/ medial. Remember to make the /k/ with the back of the tongue up. We point to the back of our throat as a reminder to put the back of the tongue up. We also call the /k/ our coughing sound. Note, when we put the letter K in between brackets, we are just talking about the sound /k/ - the letters C or K can make the /k/ sound.
