因為「細菌周年大會」ETV及沙士而對微生物學產生興趣的天水圍小子、 到南蘇丹當過無國界醫生的兒科醫生、為行醫學得一口流利廣東話的印度裔醫生、想要照顧弱勢社群的醫科生⋯⋯

一連四集，港大醫學院的畢業生及同學，將分享他們的行醫初心與及如何在這片土地上，在自己的崗位，用自己的方式為病人奮鬥。

‘It’s a lot of hard work and a long road ahead. Why do you still want to be a doctor?’

Because….we are from HKUMed!

This is a story about a boy who was inspired to explore his interests in microbiology via watching Educational Television (ETV) episodes and experiencing the SARS epidemic, a paediatrician who worked with Doctors without Borders in South Sudan, a doctor of Indian descent who learned Cantonese to practice in the city, and a medical student who wants to reach out to the disadvantaged and vulnerable groups.

Our alumni and students will be sharing stories on their original aspirations, how they embarked on their medical journeys, and how they each found their place in our city to protect and care for its people.
