POOR COW
1.
Joy had a boy named Johnny
By the brute of her wideboy hubby
A thug sent down for a bungled heist
Joy must fend for herself and baby
Til someone comes along then maybe
Everything might fall back into place
Poor cow, all the chips are stacked against you
Poor cow, but you never once kowtow
2.
Joy takes up with hubby’s buddy
A tea leaf, though an understudy
But Dave is kind to that boy of hers
Trips to Wales and out on the river
All the happiness he can give her
But soon he is standing in the dock
Poor cow, now your lover’s deep in trouble
Poor cow, Dave is in the slammer now
3.
Joy slides beneath the covers
With a stable of seedy lovers
And visits Dave in jail each week
Wideboy hubby’s released and shows up
They move house then the wideboy blows up
Soon he’s punching and slapping her around
Poor cow, then your baby boy goes missing
Poor cow, will it all work out somehow?
Poor cow, all the chips are stacked against you
Poor cow, but you never once kowtow
