Today we left Ortisei and headed towards what we thought was a hotel close to Cortina d'Ampezzo. A beautiful drive throughout the Dolomites and several hours later, the unexpected happened. We actually booked a hotel over an hour away from Cortina d'Ampezzo.
To our surprise, Alleghe was just what we needed. A lovely hotel, peaceful location with less crowds, and what may have been one of the most beautiful mountain views we had our entire trip.
Sometimes the unexpected adventure is just what you need!
