The Platinum Project PlayStation 2: Episode 6 - We Hit the MOTHERLODE!

Hello and welcome to my challenge for 2024 and my biggest challenge to date:

The Platinum Project PlayStation 2

My journey to try and find all 256 Platinum Games released for the PlayStation 2 in the Pal region.

But with a twist, I am trying to find all 256 of these games before the end of 2024, 256 games, 365 days, let the games begin!

So what are the rules for this challenge? That’s easy, there is no rules! I will do anything to find these 256 games and complete the Platinum Project PlayStation 2.

Unfortunately were starting this episode on a sad note, that's because one of my local gaming stores here in Norwich is closing , Regen Gaming, so after 17 years of trading this will be the last chance I get to visit their store.

In happier news this episode we hit up the first carboots of the 2024 season on the hunt for platinum games. The carboot can be a great place to pick up games cheap so lets hope we have some luck this time!

We have some more viewer mail trades, swaps and sales, and honestly I cannot thank EVERYONE enough for all the support I've had so far in this challenge, I COULD NOT do it without you!

We hit up not one, but two CEX stores, and I find out some hard truths about hunting in CEX....

Finally we head to another local gaming store here in Norwich, Last Level Games, as recently they got in touch saying they had some Platinum Games in storage and trust me folks we hit the MOTHERLODE!

With this challenge I am trying to collect all 256 PAL PS2 Platinum releases, and if you didn’t know the PAL region includes the U.K., Europe and Australia and to finish this time we have a rare game which I found for a bargain price on eBay!

As the Platinum Project continues things just seem to be getting crazier and crazier, but trust me, you ain't seen nothing yet!
