In 1982 radio station 95-SX (WSSX-FM) in Charleston, South Carolina participated in the national Miller High Life "Rock To Riches" contest. A record album, Homegrown II, was released featuring 10 Charleston-area musical acts. "Under Control" by the Trouble Band was one of the tracks.
Listeners could vote for their favorite act, which would advance to the regional competition. Miller Beer and over 60 stations from around the United States participated in this contest.
Charleston project coordinators were Bill Martin and Rick Green. The WSSX air staff included Beau Daniels, Steve Cochran, John Quincy, Andrea Vincent, Mick Barker, David Allen, Sammie Norton and Phil Woods.
