Chat Uses Windows 8

This live stream lets the chat control a Windows 8 VirtualBox virtual machine in real time. Everything that interacts with the guest OS runs from the host machine: the controller reads chat messages, parses commands, and injects input into the VM using VirtualBox control commands (keyboardputstring / keyboardputscancode) whenever possible. If direct injection is not available for a specific key or combo, the controller temporarily focuses the VM window on a separate virtual desktop and performs the action there using simulated keyboard/mouse events. Nothing is installed inside the VM; all logic runs on the host so the VM can be reset or restored independently.

How it works

Chat input: messages are read in real time and commands must start with an exclamation mark (!). Plain chat is ignored.

Command processing: commands are parsed, queued and executed sequentially. Sensitive operations are rate‑limited.

Execution target: the controller prefers VirtualBox background injection so actions occur inside the guest. When injection is not possible, the controller focuses the VM on a control desktop and uses simulated input there.

Isolation: the guest receives only simulated input; no software is installed in the VM. If the guest is damaged, restore from a snapshot.

Top safety notes
• Start and other sensitive commands have cooldowns to prevent spam (otherwise the VM would be dead in the minute).
• Do not send private data or credentials in chat; everything you type is visible on stream.

Supported commands (examples)
• Start VM: !startvm (aliases: !modlaunch, !launchvm, !start_mc, !startmc, !restore)
• Restore / focus VM: !restore
• Move mouse relative: !move dx dy or !move left/right/up/down (example: !move 50 -20)
• Move mouse absolute: !abs x y (example: !abs 800 400)
• Drag: !drag dx dy [button] or !dragabs [button] x y
• Clicks: !click [count], !rclick, !mclick
• Scroll: !scroll delta (example: !scroll -120)
• Type text: !type hello world
• Type + Enter: !send join game
• Key press: !key f5 or !key a 0.5 (duration)
• Combo: !combo ctrl+v or !combo win+r
• Keydown / Keyup: !keydown shift then !keyup shift
• Wait: !wait 1.5
• Fullscreen hint: !fullscreen (best-effort F11)

Troubleshooting tips
• If digits or symbols appear wrong, it’s usually a keyboard layout mismatch; the controller uses keyboardputstring when possible to avoid AZERTY/QWERTY issues.
• If virtual desktop APIs are missing on the host, the controller will fall back to focusing the VM window without switching desktops.
