A state funeral was held at St Andrew's Cathedral to honour broadcasting legend John Laws, known as 'Lawsey', who was famous for his golden microphone and signature radio shows. The service featured tributes from dignitaries including the NSW Premier, Governor, former PM John Howard, Olympic legend Dawn Fraser, and entertainment great Marcia Hines. Close friend Paul Warren spoke about their decades-long friendship, Russell Crowe shared memories as a former neighbour, and singer John Williamson performed 'True Blue' as promised to Laws.
